Busan City, 2021 Second Half Overseas Buyer Export Video Consultation... Proactive Response to Post-Corona Export Environment
Online Export Consultation Meeting Held from 9th to 12th at West Busan Online Export Consultation Center
50 Buyers from 10 Countries Participate, 100 Busan Export Companies Involved
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Busan City will hold the "2021 Second Half Overseas Buyer Export Video Consultation" between export companies and overseas buyers at the Gangseo-gu 'Western Busan Online Export Consultation Center' from the 9th to the 12th.
Along with the Busan Economic Promotion Agency, they have invited prominent buyers from the United States, China, Japan, Vietnam, and other countries twice a year to hold export consultation meetings, but since last year, due to COVID-19, they have been holding video consultations instead of in-person meetings.
At the first half overseas buyer export video consultation held in June, 43 overseas buyer companies and 76 Busan export companies participated, conducting over 200 business consultations and recording export contracts worth approximately 24 million dollars.
In the second half, about 50 overseas buyer companies and 100 Busan export companies are expected to participate. Approximately 350 business consultations are anticipated.
Additionally, the participating buyer countries have expanded to the Middle East (United Arab Emirates, Oman, Saudi Arabia) and ASEAN regions (Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Vietnam).
To respond to the rapidly changing export environment, Busan City opened the nation's largest online export consultation center in Gangseo-gu last March to strengthen non-face-to-face export support for small and medium-sized enterprises.
In September, Mayor Park Hyung-joon presided over export promotions and directly promoted products through a video consultation with the heads of six ASEAN branches of the World Korean Trade Association (OKTA) and ASEAN buyers.
