View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jin-ho] Korea Development Bank announced on the 4th that it has signed a business agreement with POSCO and POSTECH to create an eco-friendly and future industry ecosystem. The signing ceremony was held at Pohang Change-up Ground, attended by KDB Vice President Jang Byung-don, POSCO Head of New Growth Division Jung Chang-hwa, and POSTECH President Kim Moo-hwan.
The agreement aims to contribute to achieving carbon neutrality by 2050 and discovering national future growth engines by fostering a venture ecosystem in the eco-friendly and future industry sectors, while also helping to revitalize the regional economy.
KDB plans to jointly establish a fund worth 100 billion KRW with POSCO and directly invest 100 billion KRW over the next five years in startups based on POSTECH technology. Along with investment and financial support, each institution will broadly support startups in attracting investment, expanding overseas, and linking with large corporations.
