[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Seon-ae] The Korea Exchange announced on the 4th that on the day of the College Scholastic Ability Test (CSAT) on the 18th, the regular trading hours for the securities and derivatives markets will open at 10 a.m. and close one hour later than usual, at 4:30 p.m. However, some derivatives markets and general commodity markets will either delay the opening time by one hour (opening at 10 a.m.) or have no change in trading hours.
On the 18th, the trading hours for the regular market and pre-market session on the CSAT day will be delayed by one hour. The post-market session will start at 4:40 p.m. and end at 6 p.m. Specifically, the trading hours for the regular market and pre-market session in the KOSPI market, KOSDAQ market, and KONEX market will be delayed by one hour. The post-market session will start at 4:40 p.m. and end at 6 p.m.
For the derivatives market, stock and interest rate products will have both opening and closing times delayed by one hour, while currency products and gold futures will have only the opening time delayed by one hour. However, pork futures will have no change in trading hours. Following the delay in the regular market, the night market will also open one hour later.
