Imsil-gun Operates 'Daily Recovery Promotion Team'

[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, is fully mobilizing its administrative power in all directions, including the full-scale operation of the ‘Imsil-type Daily Recovery Promotion Team’ to restore daily life and livelihoods from COVID-19.

On the 3rd, according to the county, County Governor Shim Min detailed the government’s phased daily recovery reform plan to the residents at an executive meeting and urged a thorough review of support measures to revitalize the local economy.

He also emphasized maximizing the organic role through a customized system for daily life and livelihood recovery in the daily recovery promotion team and further strengthening administrative power for proactive response.

Governor Shim visited livelihood sites such as local coffee shops and restaurants to check the economic recovery situation following the government’s phased daily recovery, compliance with quarantine rules such as vaccination certificate and prohibition of personnel restrictions, and collected various opinions from small business owners.

Currently, the county is fully operating the daily recovery promotion team led by Vice Governor Kim Young-min.

Since last month, to strengthen cooperation for the government-led phased daily recovery promotion, the ‘Imsil-type Daily Recovery Promotion Team’ was proactively formed and a customized system was established.

The daily recovery promotion team is composed of 11 departments in 5 divisions: ▲Economic Livelihood ▲Social Culture ▲Autonomy Safety ▲Quarantine & Medical, with the Planning and Audit Office in overall charge.

It implements and intensively manages measures according to the government’s phased daily recovery promotion through practical, customized, and participatory organic cooperation with the private sector.

In particular, to ensure a smooth landing of daily recovery, it plans to actively discover and foster leading daily recovery projects suited to local characteristics.

Due to the prolonged COVID-19 since last year, the county has implemented various special policies to protect the safety of local residents.

The county has promoted special policies tailored to local conditions, such as distributing masks to all residents, supporting Imsil-gun disaster basic income, providing Imsil-type disaster support funds for low-income households during holidays, supporting small business owners and transportation workers, and promoting agricultural specialty products.

It has also concentrated administrative power on thorough COVID-19 quarantine, operation of vaccination centers, and revitalization of the local economy.

As a result of these efforts, the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the region has remained at 33 since last year, the lowest number in the province.

Governor Shim Min said, “I thank all residents who have strictly followed and cooperated with personal quarantine rules such as wearing masks and social distancing despite the exhausting and difficult situation,” and added, “We will not lower our vigilance and will actively prepare and implement effective measures step-by-step to ensure the safe recovery of residents’ daily lives.”
