[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 2nd that it will hold the ‘Gachisase Hanmaeum Market’ at the outdoor plaza and lobby in front of Seo-gu Office on the 5th to help local social enterprises, which have been stagnated due to COVID-19, develop sales channels.
The event, held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., will feature about 30 participants including social enterprises, village enterprises, self-support enterprises, and small business owners, promoting and selling a variety of high-quality products such as handicrafts, agricultural products, and food items.
In particular, on this day, in addition to selling goods, a promotional booth will be set up to provide participating companies with an opportunity to promote their products.
The ‘Gachisase Hanmaeum Market’ is expected to greatly help increase sales and secure sales channels for social enterprises and local companies whose sales channels have been blocked due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Seo-gu expects this event to be a good opportunity to raise interest in the social economy overall and improve awareness of local companies.
A Seo-gu official said, “We hope that citizens will take more interest in the social economy through this event and have a chance to get closer to local companies and small business owners,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to spread awareness of the social economy and support sales channels for enterprises.”
