First Broadcast on the 5th, New Entertainment Content Reflecting Golf Demand of 2030s
"Will Provide Customized Content Combining Expertise and Fun in the Future"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Homeshopping announced on the 2nd that, in response to the rapidly increasing golf demand among the MZ generation (Millennials + Generation Z), it will launch an entertainment-style mobile content called "With Jeong Gilhwan Golf" on the 5th. The program features 'Pro Jeong Gilhwan,' who holds an internationally certified professional instructor license, providing skill assessments and lessons for golf beginners.
Since the spread of COVID-19, the influx of young people into the golf market has been steadily increasing. An analysis of Lotte Homeshopping's golf product purchase data for this fall season (September 1 to October 31) shows that the order amount from customers in their 20s and 30s has more than doubled compared to before COVID-19 (2019). Reflecting this demand, Lotte Homeshopping planned entertainment-style golf content under the concept of a "Single Growth Project for Golf Beginners." 'Pro Jeong Gilhwan,' a member holding the PGA (Professional Golfers' Association) Class A instructor certification, will appear to provide professional lessons tailored to the guests' skill levels and perspectives.
In the first broadcast on the 5th, 'Pro Jeong Gilhwan' and 'Pro Maeng Dongseop,' a winner of the KPGA (Korea Professional Golfers' Association) Live Championship, will appear as guests to share various golf techniques. Going forward, the program plans to feature new active professional golfers each episode, such as 'Mika Loren Shin,' a KPGA long-drive award winner, offering content that combines both expertise and entertainment, covering basics, posture correction, and practical skills useful on the course. The videos will be released every Friday at 4 PM on the Lotte Homeshopping mobile application and the "With Jeong Gilhwan Golf" YouTube channel. An event will also be held where 100 customers who subscribe and leave supportive comments will be selected by lottery to receive a coffee gifticon.
