Suncheon-si Supports Childcare Centers and Kindergartens with 'Beoseot Jaebae Kit'
Get Closer to Mushrooms by Growing Oyster Mushrooms Yourself
[Suncheon=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Hyung-kwon] Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Heo Seok) announced on the 1st that it supported 150 daycare centers and kindergartens, members of the Suncheon City Children's Meal Management Support Center, with 'Neutari Mushroom Cultivation Kits' last month.
This mushroom cultivation kit support was prepared to help children become familiar with mushrooms, which they usually do not eat well, by growing them directly at daycare centers and kindergartens, and to provide opportunities for attachment formation through growing plants.
The Children's Meal Management Support Center provides mushroom cultivation kits along with educational materials, and daycare centers and kindergartens create dishes using the mushrooms grown together with the children to stimulate their interest.
Center Director Lee Young-joo said, "By consuming mushrooms, a representative autumn ingredient, it is expected to help maintain children's health by boosting their immunity."
