[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Geumcheon-gu (Mayor Yu Seong-hoon) will hold the "20th Geumcheon-gu Women's Choir Regular Concert" at 7 p.m. on November 4th at the Geumnarae Art Hall performance venue.
Since its founding in 1995, the Geumcheon-gu Women's Choir, holding its twentieth regular concert this year, has prepared to comfort the bodies and minds of residents at the gateway to autumn and to allow them to enjoy various genres of music.
The subtitle of this performance is "A Story of Happiness in Longing." In this time of exhaustion due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, the program was selected mainly with songs wishing for the recovery of beautiful everyday happiness. Conductor Park Chang-seok, accompanist Kwak Shin-young, and 30 members of the choir will present beautiful Korean art songs and popular music in three parts.
In the first part, they will perform songs filled with poignant longing such as the art songs "Pureureun Barama" (Blue Wind) and "Acacia Flower." The second part will feature a splendidly arranged stage of well-known Korean popular songs like "Nobody" and "Ppittakage" (Crookedly). The final third part will present beautiful songs containing poetry with flower titles such as "Doraji Flower" and "Baekhap Flower" (Lily).
Especially, as a special guest singer, Lee Hyun-seung, a singer from Geumcheon-gu, will make the performance more exciting and enjoyable with a trot stage.
Admission to the performance is free, and residents wishing to participate can enter starting 30 minutes before the concert on the day of the event. However, according to COVID-19 prevention guidelines, the audience is limited to about 250 people.
