[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Samsung Display announced on the 29th that it has obtained the international standard certification 'ISO 22301' for establishing a 'Business Continuity Management System (BCMS),' becoming the first in the domestic display industry to do so.
BCMS is a management system designed to establish a framework that enables a company to quickly recover and resume normal operations when its core functions are paralyzed due to various disasters and accidents. ISO 22301 is the international standard that specifies the requirements for establishing a BCMS.
Previously, Samsung Display had established BCMS in areas such as environmental safety and infrastructure in 2015, and this time expanded it company-wide to include the manufacturing sector. Through this certification, the company expects to be recognized for its crisis management capabilities to maintain business continuity as the world's number one supplier of smartphone OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) panels, thereby enhancing customer trust in the global market.
