The Gyeongnam Education Award boasts the highest authority and history related to education in Gyeongnam, and since the first award in 1979, a total of 199 recipients have been honored over 42 ceremonies up to last year.
They are seeking outstanding contributors who have made remarkable achievements in school management, educational research, student guidance, and the creation of educational environments, including teachers, education professionals, general staff, civilians, or private organizations who have contributed to the development of Gyeongnam education. Nominations are accepted until November 12 at the relevant regional education support offices or the corresponding departments of the provincial education office.
The Gyeongnam Office of Education plans to select about five awardees through a strict and fair evaluation of the nominated candidates. The Gyeongnam Education Award ceremony is scheduled to be held on December 21 at the Gyeongnam Office of Education auditorium with education officials in attendance.
