Funds to Support Moving Expenses for Non-Housing Residents and Help LH Tenants Have a Warm Winter
[Asia Economy Reporter Kangwook Cho] Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH) announced on the 28th that it held a 'Social Contribution Donation Ceremony for Supporting the Living of Vulnerable Groups' at the LH Seoul Regional Headquarters, attended by the Housing Welfare Foundation and five organizations operating for vulnerable housing groups.
This donation was prepared to cover moving expenses and the cost of purchasing daily necessities needed when non-residential residents move into LH public rental housing, as well as to assist in purchasing winter supplies to prepare LH rental housing residents for the severe cold season.
LH donated 500 million KRW to the Housing Welfare Foundation for supporting moving expenses of resident households, and 25 million KRW to five organizations operating for vulnerable housing groups (Haetsal Bogumjari, Daejeon Jjokbang Counseling Center, Ulan Community, Daegu Jjokbang Counseling Center, Daegu Housing Welfare Center) that help non-residential residents upgrade their housing. In particular, the donation given to the five organizations operating for vulnerable housing groups will be used for 268 households residing in LH purchased rental housing managed and operated by each organization.

Kim Hyun-jun, President of LH, said, "I hope the donation delivered today will be used well to cover the costs necessary for moving into LH public rental housing and to prepare for winter." He added, "We will continue to actively communicate with the Housing Welfare Foundation and various operating organizations to strive for housing upgrades for vulnerable groups."
