The training involved over 70 personnel, including security guards of the Government Daejeon Complex, civil service police, the 32nd Division Chemical, Biological, Radiological, and Nuclear (CBRN) unit, the 5-minute combat readiness team of the 2nd Battalion, 505th Brigade, Daejeon Police Special Forces, the Emergency Field Situation Team of Dunsan Police Station, and the Saemmori 119 Safety Center of Dunsan Fire Station.
The exercise was conducted around the southern gate (Post 1) of the complex fence. The main scenario involved two unidentified suspicious individuals infiltrating by climbing over the fence and carrying out explosive and chemical terrorism inside the complex, with the training focusing on the response process.
The Daejeon Complex Management Office acted as the control tower by utilizing the video call function of the disaster safety communication network terminals to share real-time activities of the identified intruders and deploy support forces promptly for initial response measures.
The training was observed by the head of the Daejeon Complex Management Office, the head of the management department, and the head of the facilities department, who reviewed the training results and assessed crisis response capabilities.
