[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Oh Hwan-joo] Jeonnam Muan-gun (Governor Kim San) announced on the 25th that it recently installed additional radiation level electronic display boards to strengthen the emergency radiation response system and promote various county policies.
The county installed an additional radiation level information display board in the Haese-myeon area to alleviate residents' concerns about radioactive leakage and to respond promptly to nuclear power plant accidents, providing real-time radiation measurement values.
The display board shows radiation levels along with various atmospheric and environmental information such as fine dust, ozone, weather, and temperature. It also promotes county policies and local good news stories, resulting in considerable resident satisfaction and positive response to the project.
Governor Kim San said, "Rapid dissemination of information during disasters and safety accidents is very important," adding, "We promoted the installation of radiation level display boards using development project funds for areas adjacent to the nuclear power plant to inform residents of the nuclear situation in real time and enable swift response."
