On July 1, 2018,
these were the words I gave you when receiving the appointment letter as Governor of Gyeonggi-do.
Although it may not be 100%, I believe we have achieved a considerable amount.
It must have been really tough keeping pace with a governor who assigned unnecessary tasks and demanded you to do even better at what you were already doing, right?
Once again, I sincerely thank you.
During the two years since my inauguration, despite not being able to fully concentrate on provincial administration due to trials, your best efforts have led to Gyeonggi-do achieving an unprecedented first place nationwide in administrative satisfaction.
This was possible because the senior officials exercising delegated authority and frontline public officials united as one and faithfully fulfilled their duties as public servants.
I have always felt sorry, and still do, as if I am taking all the credit for the achievements we all worked so hard to accomplish together.
I humbly ask you to continue to work unstintingly for the residents, just as you have done so far, without wavering.
I am truly a fortunate person.
It has been an honor to work with colleagues like you.
I will never forget the loyalty and passion you have shown for the residents.
And I will draw even more strength from that trust and inspiration.
Thank you sincerely.
I wish health and happiness to all.
The public officials of Gyeonggi-do are my pride.
I love Gyeonggi-do.
