View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Hapcheon-gun, Gyeongnam announced on the 25th that it held the award ceremony for the "5th Palman Daejanggyeong National Art Competition" at the Hapcheon-gun Culture and Arts Center exhibition hall.
This art competition received 1,160 entries in the calligraphy, literary painting, wood carving, and folk painting categories, demonstrating the passion of artists nationwide, and the final selections were made through strict judging by 20 judges.
The prestigious grand prize was awarded to Baek Woo-young (Goseong-gun) for "Kkotgilman Gaseoseo" submitted in the folk painting category. The excellence awards went to Kim Hyun-ja (Changwon-si) for "Sungbyeokran" in the calligraphy (Chinese characters) category, Yoo Yoon-ok (Changwon-si) for "Hongmae" in the literary painting category, and Lee Ho-young (Geochang-gun) for "Sanhaejinmi" in the wood carving category. In addition, a total of 45 people received honors, including 15 excellence awards, 4 Samche awards, and 22 special awards.
The award ceremony, hosted by the Palman Daejanggyeong National Art Competition Steering Committee, was held with a minimal number of attendees to prevent the spread of COVID-19 and was combined with an exhibition of the winning works.
