Barogo "Vaccine Vaccination Support Fund Operated Until December... Currently 1,900 People Benefited"
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] Barogo will operate the 'Vaccine Vaccination Support Fund' program until December.
Barogo, a startup operating a last-mile logistics IT platform, announced on the 25th that it will run the vaccine vaccination support fund program, which provides support funds to riders who have received the COVID-19 vaccine, until the end of this year.
In June, Barogo established the vaccine vaccination support fund program to support riders who delayed vaccination for livelihood reasons or could not rest even after vaccination.
So far, a total of about 1,900 riders have received the support fund, with 50,000 KRW per person paid in Barogo's driver cash (virtual currency) called 'BaroMoney'.
Riders performing deliveries through the Barogo program who have not applied for the support fund after vaccination (since June 1) can apply through 'Barogo Play,' an online community within the Barogo driver app.
Separately, the 'Livelihood Maintenance Support Fund' program, established to help riders who are COVID-19 confirmed cases or subject to self-quarantine, will remain in effect until further notice.
Since February last year, Barogo has been providing livelihood compensation to riders who have been confirmed or suspected of COVID-19 and received self-quarantine orders from health authorities.
