62 Confirmed Cases in Chungnam Over the Weekend... Foreign Crew Members and Students Included
[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Hyewon] On the weekend of the 23rd, 62 people in Chungnam were confirmed positive for the novel coronavirus infection (COVID-19) by 6 p.m.
In Dangjin alone, a total of 17 confirmed cases were reported.
Among them, 10 elementary, middle, and high school students, including those in self-quarantine, were infected with COVID-19. Three family members were also confirmed positive together.
In Taean, seven foreign crew members working on three different fishing boats tested positive.
It was reported that they had been living in the same accommodation.
Five workers at the Geumsan ginseng sorting facility and three family members in Hongseong were also confirmed positive for COVID-19 on the same day.
