20s Woman Arrested for Abandoning Children After Giving Birth to Three Kids

On the 22nd, according to the police, the Women and Juvenile Crime Investigation Unit of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency arrested a woman in her 20s, identified as A, on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act (child abandonment and neglect).
A is suspected of consecutively abandoning her three children born over the past several years up until earlier this year.
It was reported that earlier this year, she abandoned a one-month-old infant. A was wanted by the police on these charges and was apprehended on the 18th at a lodging facility in Bupyeong-gu, Incheon.
At the time, she had reported being sexually assaulted by a man but later withdrew the report. During the police identity check, her wanted status was discovered, leading to her arrest.
A is currently pregnant and has been living in lodging facilities without a fixed residence, according to investigations.
