Gwangju Seo-gu, Life Respect Culture Promotion and Mental Health Improvement Campaign
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 22nd that it is recently promoting a campaign to foster a culture of respect for life and to improve the mental health of local residents in commemoration of Mental Health Day.
Seo-gu has designated the period until the 29th as Mental Health Week and plans to provide mental health-related information through various events around Pungam Lake Park to encourage active participation of local residents in the campaign.
Accordingly, in the third week of October, under the theme "Mind Health ChaChaCha," activities such as creating acrostic poems related to mental health and leaving supportive messages were conducted.
In particular, on the 21st, a special event including a caricature session and other resident participation programs were held, and small souvenirs were given to participants.
In the fourth week of October, an event titled "Mind Health with Angels," where participants can take photos with angel wings, is scheduled to take place.
A Seo-gu official said, "We hope this campaign will serve as a small source of vitality for residents who are experiencing depression or lethargy due to COVID-19."
