The Two-gether Small Business Support Project is a social contribution initiative that simultaneously supports small business owners affected by COVID-19 and children from vulnerable groups.
Since August, the project has been carried out in collaboration with the global child rights NGO Good Neighbors, purchasing semi-prepared meal kits, bread, and other items in bulk from small business-operated restaurants in Seoul and delivering them to about 250 households of vulnerable children.
The support target area this time is Cheongju, the home city of KB Kookmin Bank's women's professional basketball team, the KB Stars. About 20 small business operators struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 situation were selected and supported through advance payment.
The purchased items will be packaged in eco-friendly paper boxes with cooling treatment and safely delivered to children once or twice a week for a total of eight times starting this week.
On the 12th and 20th, players from KB Kookmin Bank's women's professional basketball team, the KB Stars, visited six dining establishments in Cheongju to encourage the local community's swift recovery from COVID-19.
