Coupang and Chungbuk Youth Farmers Association Deliver 'Agricultural Product Kits'
Supporting Vulnerable Groups, Small Business Owners, and Medical Staff in Chungbuk Region
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coupang announced on the 21st that it will support more than 1,200 'agricultural product kits' to encourage vulnerable groups, small business owners, and medical staff in the Chungbuk region who are struggling due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic, in collaboration with the Chungbuk Youth Farmers Association.
This social contribution activity was promoted through a process in which Coupang and the Chungbuk Youth Farmers Association jointly considered the online shopping entry and market expansion of agricultural products produced by local young farmers. In this support activity, the Chungbuk Youth Farmers Association prepared kits to be distributed to vulnerable groups, small business owners, and medical staff in the region, and Coupang is responsible for delivering them to 11 city and county offices in Chungcheongbuk-do.
The agricultural product kits consist of agricultural products directly produced by young farmers in Chungbuk. They include sweet potatoes and potatoes grown by local young farmers, as well as apple juice, black garlic juice, peach juice, jujube juice, grape juice, honey, jujubes, and ginseng. These kits are delivered via Coupang delivery vehicles to 11 locations including Chungbuk Orphanage in Cheongju City, Sungdeok Rehabilitation Center in Chungju City, Vaccination Center in Eumseong County, Sambok Social Welfare Center in Jeungpyeong County, Nanumi Visiting Care Center in Danyang County, as well as city and county offices in Jecheon City, Boeun County, Okcheon County, Yeongdong County, Jincheon County, and Goesan County.
