Dongshin University Hosts 'Smart Energy City Industry-Academic Cooperation Exchange Meeting'

[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Cho Hyung-joo] The Dongshin University 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University Project Group announced on the 15th that it held the ‘Smart Energy City Industry-Academia Cooperation Exchange Meeting’ on the first floor of the university central library from the 8th to the 13th.

This exchange meeting was hosted by the Dongshin University 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University Project Group and organized by the Ministry of Education and the National Research Foundation of Korea, with participation from 10 related companies in the smart energy city sector, including Junghung Construction and Building Point Korea.

Companies participated in tracks related to technologies necessary for the smart energy city such as IoT, infrastructure, data, and services, presenting the achievements made together with the project group and operating experience booths.

Additionally, time was allocated to share information about the companies’ main fields and smart energy city and 4th Industrial Revolution technologies.

Park Sung-il, head of the 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University Project Group (professor of the Department of Information and Communication Engineering), said, “We will operate a local government-industry-academia (Ji-San-Hak) council that can jointly respond in the era of the 4th Industrial Revolution to contribute to the development of the local community.”

Meanwhile, since 2020, the Dongshin University 4th Industrial Revolution Innovation Leading University Project has been supported with 2 billion KRW in government funding to nurture SMART creative convergence talents based on IoT technology.
