On the 13th, Hampyeong County, Jeollanam-do announced that due to the prolonged 10% discount sale of Hampyeong Love Gift Certificates and the increase in the circulation of gift certificates following the payment of the 'COVID-19 Coexistence National Support Fund' and the 'Hampyeong Citizen Support Fund,' it will promote a comprehensive crackdown to prevent illegal distribution.
The main targets of the crackdown are ▲ cases where gift certificate affiliated stores operate in restricted business sectors ▲ receiving gift certificates without selling goods or providing services ▲ receiving gift certificates through transactions exceeding actual sales amounts ▲ acting as an agent for exchanging gift certificates illegally received by individual affiliated stores ▲ store owners continuously purchasing gift certificates under another person's name and then exchanging them, etc.
The county plans to analyze data suspected of illegal distribution through the Korea Minting and Security Printing Corporation's integrated gift certificate management system and proceed with the crackdown.
Furthermore, if illegal distribution is confirmed, administrative and financial measures according to relevant laws will be taken, including cancellation of affiliated store registration, recovery of illegally distributed amounts, and imposition of fines up to 20 million won.
