Gwangju Seo-gu to Recruit 'Youth Policy Participation Group' Until the 5th of Next Month
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] The Seo-gu District Office of Gwangju Metropolitan City (District Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 13th that it will recruit the ‘Youth Policy Participation Group’ until the 5th of next month to directly listen to the voices of youth and reflect their opinions in district administration.
Seo-gu started the 1st Youth Policy Participation Group in 2016, and currently the 3rd group is active, with members participating in discovering youth policies through regular and ad hoc meetings.
The 4th Youth Policy Participation Group of 2022 (term of 2 years) is open to youth aged 19 to 39 who reside or are active in Seo-gu, and anyone interested in youth issues and passionate about the development of youth culture can apply.
Applications can be submitted via email, mail, or in person by referring to the announcement on the Seo-gu District Office website.
Selected members will discover youth issues and agendas through quarterly regular meetings and subcommittee activities, and act as policy governance partners in district administration for youth policies.
A Seo-gu official said, “The participation group will discover youth agendas and reflect the proposed youth policies in district administration, enabling active youth participation and realization of youth-centered policies.”
