[Muan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Jeonnam Province announced that Yoon Byeongtae, the 12th Deputy Governor for Political Affairs, who greatly contributed to securing national budget and promoting key policies of the 7th local government such as the Blue Economy, held a farewell ceremony on the 12th, concluding his 3 years and 1 month of service at the provincial office.
Deputy Governor Yoon, who entered public service through the 36th Administrative Examination, is a recognized financial expert who has served as Budget and Safety Review Officer at the Ministry of Strategy and Finance, Head of the Financial Information Disclosure and National Subsidy Integrated Management System Construction Promotion Team, and Director of the Financial System Division at the Financial Management Bureau.
He was called by Kim Youngrok, Governor of Jeonnam Province, and formed a connection with Jeonnam as the first Deputy Governor for Political Affairs of the 7th local government.
Since his inauguration in August 2018, Deputy Governor Yoon has faithfully acted as a bridge between Jeonnam Province and the central government based on his extensive network in central and local political and administrative circles, greatly contributing to resolving provincial issues and securing national funds.
In particular, he is recognized as a key figure who brought about visible achievements in the ‘Clean Jeonnam Blue Economy Project,’ including the opening of the era of a 7 trillion won national budget and a 10 trillion won provincial budget in 2021, attracting the Korea Energy University and enacting related laws, and the large-scale redevelopment of the Gwangyang Bay industrial complex.
