KMA Participates in the '2021 World Meteorological Special Assembly'

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Han Jinju] The Korea Meteorological Administration attended the 2021 World Meteorological Special Assembly held online until the 22nd.
The assembly was attended by Gerhard Adrian, President of the World Meteorological Organization (WMO), Petteri Taalas, Secretary-General, and three vice presidents, along with meteorological chiefs from 193 member countries.
The meeting discussed the evaluation of the WMO organizational restructuring, Earth system data exchange policies, amendments to WMO internal regulations, and support for the global water agenda.
On the 12th and 14th, the Hydrological Council was held, and on the 21st, the award ceremony and lecture for the 65th (2020) International Meteorological Organization (IMO) prize winners took place.
