[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Bo-kyung] On the 8th, Kim Yong-moon, President of the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development, visited startup companies located in Pangyo Startup Village, including the pet economy startup DidiCares, to listen to their on-site voices and expressed his determination to resolve their difficulties.
Pet Economy (Pet+Economy) is a newly coined term referring to markets or industries related to companion animals. DidiCares, a pet healthcare service company, developed the pet smart wearable device Pevo. Pevo is a smart wearable device that detects abnormal health signs in pets and is packaged together with pet liability insurance.
In addition, on the same day, President Kim visited DotHill, which developed an AI robot monitor product that helps users correct their posture; Himnanda, which provides personalized diet subscription services through genetic analysis; and Pixelro, which offers vision correction solutions such as smartphone-attached presbyopia correction films.
He also visited manufacturing startups experiencing decreased sales due to COVID-19 and difficulties in overseas parts supply, toured their office spaces and products, and listened to their achievements as well as difficulties and suggestions.
President Kim said, "It was a valuable time to confirm the meaningful achievements created by promising startups in Pangyo Startup Zone despite difficulties," and added, "We will continue to listen carefully to on-site voices and suggestions and actively reflect them in future support for startups."

The Pangyo Startup Zone is a startup support space established by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups and managed by the Korea Institute of Startup & Entrepreneurship Development to focus on nurturing promising startups in new industry fields. Over 110 companies have moved into the Startup Zone, and resident companies receive support benefits such as AC-linked support projects, customized IR production, marketing education, and global expansion support in addition to office space.
