LS Group to Open Recruitment for New Graduates for Second Half of the Year Until the 15th of This Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Su-yeon Woo] LS Group announced on the 8th that it is conducting an open recruitment for new employees for the second half of 2021 from the 27th of last month to the 15th of this month.
LS has held open recruitment for new employees every year in the second half, and this year, four affiliates including LS Cable & System, LS Electric, LS Nikko Copper, and E1 are hiring new employees. While major groups have recently abolished or reduced open recruitment, LS decided to maintain the open recruitment system to ensure predictability and convenience for job seekers.
The recruitment scale is in the triple digits, similar to last year, and including occasional recruitment, the annual total is about 1,000 people. The recruitment positions cover various fields such as sales, production, quality, design, support, and R&D (research and development). Eligible candidates are graduates or expected graduates (February 2022) of four-year regular universities (graduate schools).
Final selection is made through document screening, AI (artificial intelligence) competency tests, practical interviews, and executive interviews. Since last year, most of the recruitment process, from counseling to competency tests and practical interviews, has been conducted online.
This year, due to the difficulty of face-to-face activities amid the spread of COVID-19, LS Group held a 'Metaverse Recruiting' event using digital technology at the end of September to actively communicate with job seekers. At this event, LS Group recruiters and current employees invited about 150 job seekers to the metaverse virtual space called 'Elloland,' where they shared employment information through avatars they each accessed.
Joon-young Cho, Deputy Head of LS Group’s HR Team, said, "We are actively utilizing various online channels to communicate vigorously with the MZ generation to secure future talent," adding, "We hope that many job seekers struggling with employment due to COVID-19 will be rewarded for their efforts and confidently enter society."
