'Taeil-i,' Depicting Martyr Jeon Tae-il, Premieres at Busan Film Festival

Myung Films announced on the 1st, "The second feature-length animated film 'Taeil' has been officially invited to the 26th Busan International Film Festival," adding, "Actor Jang Dong-yoon and director Hong Jun-pyo will attend the opening ceremony, and actor Yum Hye-ran, Jin Sun-kyu, and director Hong Jun-pyo will participate in the Q&A session with the audience."
'Taeil' is a work depicting the story of young Jeon Tae-il, who fought passionately in 1970 at Pyeonghwa Market to change unfair labor conditions. The film has been officially invited to the 'Korean Cinema Today - Panorama' section of the 26th Busan International Film Festival and will be premiered worldwide, with a release scheduled for November.
Director Hong Jun-pyo and Jang Dong-yoon, who voices Taeil, will attend the opening ceremony held on October 6. On the 7th at 4:30 PM, after the screening at Lotte Cinema Centum City, director Hong Jun-pyo, Yum Hye-ran who plays Taeil's mother Lee So-seon, and Jin Sun-kyu who plays Taeil's father will participate in a Q&A session with the audience. On the 8th at 8 PM, after the screening at Lotte Cinema Centum City, director Hong and Myung Films CEO Lee Eun will join the audience Q&A.
As Myung Films' second feature-length animation, following the highest-grossing Korean animation "Leafie, A Hen into the Wild," over 10,000 citizens participated through crowdfunding, raising more than 100 million won.
