Expansion of 'Seoul-type Paid Sick Leave' Support for Adverse Reactions to COVID-19 Vaccines
[Asia Economy Reporter Lim Cheol-young] The Seoul Metropolitan Government announced on the 30th that it will expand the Seoul-type paid sick leave support so that vulnerable workers experiencing adverse reactions to the COVID-19 vaccine can receive hospital treatment without financial burden.
Seoul has amended related ordinances and from today, paid sick leave recipients such as low-income daily workers and sole proprietors will receive additional support of 85,610 KRW per day, once per person, if they undergo outpatient treatment or examination due to adverse reactions such as fever or pain within 4 weeks (28 days) after vaccination.

As a result, the maximum support period for Seoul-type paid sick leave has increased from 14 days to 15 days. Applications for paid sick leave can be made at the nearest public health center or community service center.
