Popular Webtoon 'Honey Blood' to Be Released as a Mobile Game
[Asia Economy Reporter Park So-yeon] Mobile game specialist publisher COWON announced on the 29th that it plans to release a story mobile game utilizing the popular KakaoStory webtoon IP Honey Blood.
The original IP Honey Blood is an award-winning work that received the Minister's Award at the Korea Content Awards and is a romance fantasy webtoon considered the essence of Korean romance comics. It features a stable story and charming characters, telling the story of a wounded high school student Shin Naerim who meets a vampire Petesh with a mysterious past and finds courage through sweet comfort.
The upcoming game "Honey Blood (tentative)" faithfully recreates the original storyline and reconstructs the original story from the first-person observer perspective of the protagonist Shin Naerim. It adds new fun by including multiple endings and side episodes that original fans only imagined. The game will feature character voices by famous voice actors, Live 2D animation, and standing illustrations to deliver a vivid and highly immersive experience.
