'2021 Changwon Tourism Photo Contest' to Showcase Changwon's Vibrancy and Dynamic Charm... Applications Open from the 1st of Next Month
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 27th that it will hold the 2021 Changwon Tourism Photo Contest nationwide.
Hosted by the city and organized by the Jinhae branch of the Korea Photographers Association, this contest was prepared to collect works capturing the unique features of Changwon's tourist attractions for use as promotional materials for Changwon tourism.
The contest is open to all citizens regardless of their place of residence.
Eligibility requires unpublished works taken since 2019 that match the theme "Capture the lively and dynamic charm of Changwon," featuring subjects such as Changwon's natural scenery, tourist spots, traditional culture, themed trails, and experiential tourism.
Submissions will be accepted for one month from October 1 to October 29.
Applicants can download the entry form from the city hall website and submit their photo works, original film, or photo files by mail or in person to the Jinhae branch of the Korea Photographers Association.
After screening the submitted works, the winners will be announced at the end of November.
A total of 71 works will be selected: one Grand Prize (3 million KRW), two Silver Prizes (1 million KRW each), three Bronze Prizes (500,000 KRW each), and 65 Honorable Mentions (100,000 KRW each).
The selected works will be exhibited in the lobby of the city hall main building from December 1 to 20.
