[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] The Seongbuk-gu Choi Man-rin Art Museum (a branch of Seongbuk-gu Art Museum), located in Jeongneung-dong, Seongbuk-gu, is holding an exhibition to remember and commemorate artist Choi Man-rin on the first anniversary of his passing until December 11.
In this exhibition, garden artist Kwon Young-rang newly created the actual garden of the Choi Man-rin Art Museum as the Choi Man-rin Homage Garden, expanding his artistic world into nature.
Marking the fifth season to visit the garden of art that Choi Man-rin cultivated throughout his life, the exhibition offers an opportunity to meet the artist through major works created in each season such as 'Eve 65-8', 'Hyeon', 'Tae 79-22', '0 94-2', archival materials, and a memorial video '∞ Circulation' by artist Han Seung-hoon.
Alongside the memorial exhibition, an open storage exhibition 'New Acquisitions Exhibition: Filled by Emptiness' showcasing some of the recently donated works, and an open archive 'Things Loved by Choi Man-rin' displaying materials of things the artist cherished, are also being held.
Additionally, on November 22, the anniversary of Choi Man-rin's passing, a memorial ceremony along with a commemorative concert titled 'Memory' will take place.
