Yeonggwang-gun to Operate 'Health Program' Starting This Month
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Jeonseong] Yeonggwang-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Kim Junsung) has been operating health programs at the public health center, which were temporarily suspended due to the impact of COVID-19, as the vaccination rate among residents reached 80% starting this month.
According to the county on the 27th, this program targets residents and people with disabilities.
The main programs include ▲ Visiting Happy Dream Bus ▲ Health Classes for People with Disabilities ▲ Hypertension and Diabetes Prevention Classes ▲ Oriental Medicine Osteoarthritis Prevention Health Classes at Senior Centers.
All programs are only available to those who have completed the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and are operated under the strict adherence to quarantine guidelines supervised by health professionals.
A resident participating in the program said, “Due to COVID-19, many activities were restricted, and since last year, I felt depressed and my physical functions declined, but through the public health center’s program, I was able to relieve stress and regain my health, which makes me very happy.”
A county official stated, “We will do our best to plan and operate quality programs so that residents can enjoy a healthy and happy life suitable for the 100-year lifespan era.”
