Chuseok Holiday 'Family Transmission' Spreads... 29 New Cases Confirmed in Gwangju
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] As of 2 PM on the 25th, 29 people in the Gwangju area tested positive for COVID-19.
According to Gwangju Metropolitan City on that day, a total of 29 new cases were confirmed, including 28 local infections and 1 imported case (Uzbekistan).
In particular, during the Chuseok holiday period, as the population moving from the metropolitan area to non-metropolitan areas increased, 11 cases related to confirmed patients from other cities and provinces were reported.
Four cases, numbered 4841 to 4844, are related to confirmed patients in Gyeonggi Province, and the rest were all investigated to be related to confirmed patients in Seoul.
There are a total of 7 cases related to previously confirmed patients, of which 3 are currently in isolation.
There were a total of 4 cases related to testing of foreigners located in Gwangsan-gu, 1 case related to manufacturing, and 1 case related to a logistics center. The cumulative total so far is 233 cases.
At an entertainment facility located in Seo-gu, where patient number 4732 was first confirmed on the 22nd, patient number 4858 was additionally confirmed, increasing the total to 10.
Five cases, numbered 4836, 4848, 4852, 4860, and 4861, are currently under investigation regarding their infection routes.
