According to the Ministry of the Interior and Safety on the 23rd, 342,000 people applied for the National Support Fund between the Chuseok holiday period from the 18th to the 22nd, and 85.6 billion KRW was disbursed. Since the program began on the 6th, over 39.257 million people have applied for the fund over 17 days, with the cumulative disbursement amount rising to 9.8141 trillion KRW.
Approximately 90.7% of the provisional 43.26 million eligible recipients have received the support payments, which accounts for 75.9% of the total population. By payment method, 29.912 million people used credit or debit cards, 6.204 million used local love gift certificates, and 3.141 million used prepaid cards.
The cumulative number of appeals reached 308,444. As of 6 p.m. the previous day, 189,334 appeals were submitted online via the National Petition Portal, and 118,119 were submitted offline at town and township offices, totaling 308,444 appeals. The most common reason for appeals was health insurance premium adjustments with about 127,000 cases, followed by changes in household composition with about 108,000 cases.
