Seojinwoo, SK Supex Talent Development Committee Chair, Promoted to Vice Chairman in Charge of China
[Asia Economy Reporter Hwang Yoon-joo] Seo Jin-woo, Chairman of the Talent Development Committee at SK Supex Council, has been promoted to Vice Chairman of SK Group.
According to SK Supex Council on the 19th, SK Group recently promoted Chairman Seo to Vice Chairman. Vice Chairman Seo will oversee the China business while maintaining his position as Chairman of the Talent Development Committee. He has extensive experience in global business, having served as CEO of SK Telecom Global Business CIC and CEO of SK Planet.
As SK recently undertakes restructuring of its China rental car business and the sale of Beijing SK Tower, Vice Chairman Seo is reportedly tasked with reorganizing the China business.
SK currently operates Hynix semiconductor factories and electric vehicle battery plants in China.
Vice Chairman Seo, who has been affiliated with SK Group since 1989, started at Yukong Information and Communication Investment Management Team, served as head of the marketing strategy team at SK Telecom, and was CEO of SK Communications. He then served as co-CEO in charge of the platform division at SK Telecom and president of SK Telecom C&I CIC.
