According to the Small Enterprise and Market Service, the average cost of preparing a Chuseok ancestral rite table at traditional markets this year (for four people) was 267,762 KRW. This is 85,923 KRW (24.3%) cheaper than the average cost of 353,685 KRW at large supermarkets based on the same criteria. This analysis comes from a price comparison survey conducted by the Small Enterprise and Market Service from September 1 to 3, targeting 37 traditional markets and 37 nearby large supermarkets, covering 27 Chuseok ritual items including seafood, meat, and vegetables.
