Daejeon City, 'Safe Return to Daily Life' Citizen Idea Contest
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City announced on the 18th that it is accepting citizen ideas to prepare policies for the safe recovery of daily life amid the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic.
Anyone can submit ideas through the online policy proposal platform ‘Daejeon Siso’ until the 16th of next month. The topics include citizen-centered autonomous quarantine activities, promotion of citizen health, recovery of the local economy or job creation, and revitalization of culture and arts.
If an idea receives support from more than 10 people, the relevant city department will review the content and provide a response. If it is deemed necessary to gather more opinions and build consensus, an online citizen discussion will be held to ensure that the idea can be reflected in actual policies.
Additionally, 100 proposers (on a first-come, first-served basis) whose ideas receive support from more than 10 people will be given mobile gift certificates.
