Gyeonggi Fire Department Establishes Emergency Patient Response System for Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters will significantly enhance its emergency patient hospital guidance service during the Chuseok holiday.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters announced on the 16th that from 6 p.m. on the 17th to 9 a.m. on the 23rd, it has secured information on 391 hospitals (including 65 emergency rooms), 5,654 clinics, and 3,239 pharmacies across the province to guide emergency patients.
The Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters previously provided training to on-duty personnel on how to provide information about hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies.
Additionally, the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters plans to station 'Emergency Situation Managers' capable of providing on-site first aid in emergencies such as distress or traffic accidents 24 hours a day. This measure is to provide professional emergency treatment such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation and various emergency consultation guidance.
Jo Chang-rae, Director of the Disaster Comprehensive Command Center at the Gyeonggi Fire Headquarters, emphasized, "We plan to deliver accurate medical institution information so that residents can respond appropriately in emergencies," adding, "We will do our best to ensure that residents can have a comfortable and safe Chuseok holiday without any difference from usual during the holiday period."
