It was after the heartbreaking child abuse case of Jeong-in that moved the world last year.
The letter appealed to the reality that there are too many children in crisis due to the increasing number of child victim crimes, which continue as a social problem.
The Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation, established by Chairman Kwon Hyuk-woon, took action. Chairman Kwon said, "Let's create a world where 'Jeong-in' never cries again." The scholarship foundation soon jumped into helping children from crime victim crisis families.
IS Dongseo is a comprehensive company in construction, environment, and manufacturing. To practice ESG management, it has donated a total of 37.6 billion KRW over 10 years to coexist with local communities through social contribution activities.
The Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation, chaired by Kwon Hyuk-woon, signed a "Business Agreement for Emergency Support for Children from Crime Victim Crisis Families" with the Busan Police Agency and the ChildFund Korea at 3 p.m. on the 14th.
The support project for children from crime victim crisis families is a program that helps children who have suffered from various crimes to quickly regain their daily lives.
The Busan Police Agency, Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation, and ChildFund Korea cooperate jointly in the public and private sectors to support children in crisis.
Since early this year, the Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation, the Victim Protection Division of the Busan Police Agency, and ChildFund Korea have been discussing and carrying out this project, leading to this agreement.
The Busan Police Agency plays a role in discovering and rescuing children in need of help in situations of child abuse or crime victim crises.
ChildFund Korea provides emergency livelihood support as well as medical, educational, and housing assistance for children.
The Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation agreed to sponsor the project expenses and will also conduct review activities to ensure the project is properly executed.
For this project, the Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation first donated 55 million KRW to support the project expenses.
At the signing ceremony, Director Woo Sung-man of the Munam Scholarship and Culture Foundation said, "The foundation will help ensure that children, our future generation, are safely protected from crime and can grow well."
