Jeonnam Police Hold 'Agricultural Products Direct Transaction Event' for Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] Jeonnam Police Agency announced on the 15th that they have been holding a local agricultural products direct transaction event since the 6th to help local farms struggling due to COVID-19 during the Chuseok holiday.
This event involves employees working at all police stations in the province, and to maintain COVID-19 related quarantine measures, they are using pamphlets and introducing and purchasing products through the internal network, promoting voluntary purchases and delivery by courier to minimize close contact, thereby helping farms and revitalizing the local economy.
Jeonnam Police purchased about 31 million won worth of local agricultural products through direct transactions during last Lunar New Year as well.
For this Chuseok holiday, they have purchased about 44 million won worth of agricultural products so far, and since 2007, they have held a total of 24 direct transaction events during Lunar New Year and Chuseok holidays every year to support local farms.
