Gwangju Buk-gu, Recruiting 'Online Cheer Squad' for the 1st Youth Week Event
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Buk-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Moon In) announced on the 14th that it is recruiting a ‘Youth Online Cheer Squad’ to participate in the 1st Buk-gu Youth Week event to be held in October.
The eligible participants are youths aged 19 to 39 who reside or are active in Buk-gu.
Youths selected as the online cheer squad will participate in the ‘Youth Week Commemoration Ceremony’ and the talk show ‘Youth Ask, Buk-gu Answers’.
Along with this, a youth cheering message event will also be held.
Applications are accepted for cheering messages sent to friends, children, seniors and juniors, as well as stories about concerns faced by youths such as those who are new to society, newlyweds, and working moms.
Participants who send cheering messages will receive a small gift containing information about Buk-gu policies and various programs.
Applications for the online cheer squad and message submissions can be made on the Buk-gu Youth Center website until the 18th.
Meanwhile, the 1st Buk-gu Youth Week event, held for the first time this year, will be held under the theme ‘Youth for the First Time’ from the 5th to the 8th of next month at Chonnam National University and the university town-type urban regeneration area, featuring 17 online and offline programs across 3 themes.
Mayor Moon In of Buk-gu said, “We will continue to expand opportunities for youth participation in district administration and create a youth-friendly city Buk-gu that considers youth issues together.”
