On the occasion of Printing Culture Day (September 14), the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 14th that it has selected twenty-three individuals for their contributions to the development of printing culture and will present government awards at the Printing Culture Hall in Mapo-gu, Seoul.
The Order of Cultural Merit is awarded to Kim Jeongjeon, CEO of Daehwa U.C.P. He was recognized for developing new printing techniques and establishing an optimal quality management system that led the advancement of printing quality. His contributions to international exchanges in the printing field and pioneering overseas markets were also considered. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism explained, "He developed a printing technique that combines analog and digital methods and established an optimal quality management system, obtaining ISO 9001 certification," adding, "He improved the work environment and processes, receiving Clean Workplace certification from the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency." Furthermore, "He took on important roles in printing organizations and actively promoted major projects," and "In particular, he exhibited printed materials produced by his company at the 2018 printing exhibition held in China, winning a silver award."

The Presidential Citation goes to Jeong Yangok, CEO of Terabooks, who led the modernization of printing companies and the development of eco-friendly printing technologies. The Prime Minister’s Citation is awarded to Lee Jaegu, CEO of Sehan PNC, for his contributions to improving printing quality and promoting exports. Twenty others, including Kang Sunok, CEO of Hyundai Artcom; Jeon Chungil, CEO of Boxland; Kim Eungyoung, CEO of Samwon Printing; Oh Sehyun, CEO of Onk CNP; and Song Seongbeom, CEO of Digital Hangeulsa, receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Citation.
