Samsung Electronics Launches Webcam Monitor Globally... "Optimized for Video Conferencing"
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeong Hyunjin] Samsung Electronics announced on the 14th that it will launch a 'webcam monitor' optimized for video conferencing in major global markets such as North America, Europe, and Southeast Asia, amid the normalization of non-face-to-face work like remote work and virtual meetings due to COVID-19.
The Samsung webcam monitor (S40VA, 24-inch) features a webcam camera and microphone for video conferencing built into the top of the display in a pop-up form, allowing users to use it only when needed. It also has built-in speakers, so there is no need to install separate speakers.
The Samsung webcam monitor is a 24-inch product with Full HD resolution and a 178-degree wide viewing angle panel. It is equipped with a 2-megapixel infrared camera certified by Microsoft's facial recognition security feature 'Windows Hello,' enabling login without password input. It also includes ▲Eye Saver Mode ▲Flicker-Free technology that minimizes flickering ▲and blue light reduction technology.
Additionally, it supports ▲HAS (Height Adjustable Stand) ▲Tilt (up and down angle adjustment) ▲Swivel (left and right rotation) ▲Pivot (landscape and portrait mode switching) ▲and wall mounting, allowing users to adjust the monitor in their preferred way.
The Samsung webcam monitor is priced at 380,000 KRW at the factory price and will be sold through online open markets in the domestic market.
