In an interview with the 'Seonhu Forum' on the 13th, when lawyer Kwon Kyung-ae asked, "There is a clash between feminism and anti-feminism regarding Leader Lee. What do you think about this?" Kim replied, "Leader Lee has not established (philosophy and strategy) on what kind of strategy the People Power Party should adopt for the presidential election."
He pointed out, "Leader Lee believes that his attitude (anti-feminism) shown during the Seoul mayoral by-election gained a lot of support from young men in their 20s (Idaenam), leading to a landslide victory, but this is 'Lee Jun-seok's misconception.' Not all generations decide their votes based on that."
He continued, "If a political party leans too much to one side like this, it is difficult to gain the support of the entire electorate. That is why I said that Leader Lee has not established the attitude and strategy he should take as a leader."
Kim also said, "(As an example) during the April 15 general election last year, public opinion was intense that 'all those involved in the Nth Room case, regardless of status, should face legal action,' but then Leader Hwang Kyo-ahn suddenly said, 'Legal measures should vary depending on the severity,' which resulted in women in their 20s completely ignoring the People Power Party."
He added, "It is problematic to fall into the swamp of misconception by interpreting the Seoul mayoral by-election in his own way without reflecting on the lessons from such a crushing defeat."
