New 20,000-ton Ulleung Cruise Large Ferry Launches on Gyeongbuk Pohang-Ulleungdo Route
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] A new 20,000-ton large ferry operated by 'Ulleung Cruise' will begin service on the maritime route between Pohang, Gyeongbuk and Ulleungdo.
The shipping company Ulleung Cruise announced on the 12th that it will hold an onboard inauguration ceremony at 2 p.m. on the 16th at Yeongilman Port pier in Yonghan-ri, Heunghae-eup, Pohang City.
At the inauguration ceremony, limited guests including Lee Cheol-woo, Governor of Gyeongbuk, Lee Kang-deok, Mayor of Pohang, the Ulleung County Governor, officials, business and tourism industry representatives, and residents will be invited.
On September 6, the 20,000-ton ferry passenger ship New Shidao Pearl of Ulleung Cruise, which began trial operations, arrived at Sadong Port in Ulleungdo.
