The Cuchen 121 Rice Cooker is a new product launched by Cuchen in July this year. It is the first in Korea to apply 2.1 ultra-high pressure technology.
Before the official launch, the product also achieved sales amounting to 235% of its target during pre-order sales. The initial stock was completely sold out before the start of offline sales, causing delivery delays.
The background of this success lies in the 'stay-at-home' trend caused by COVID-19. As social distancing increased and more people chose to eat at home instead of dining out, demand for rice cookers also rose accordingly. Additionally, Cuchen believes that growing health awareness due to COVID-19 has led to a positive response for the Cuchen 121 Rice Cooker, which specializes in multigrain rice.
In fact, the Cuchen 121 Rice Cooker is the only electric pressure rice cooker that can raise the cooking temperature up to 121 degrees Celsius using 2.1 ultra-high pressure technology. By increasing the moisture absorption rate of grains and cooking them evenly inside, it makes multigrain rice as soft and moist as white rice, according to the company.
The design also played a role. The Cuchen 121 Rice Cooker was selected for excellent design at the '2021 Good Design Award.' Its design is inspired by pottery, praised for its simplicity and precision.
