Cluepie Participates in Joint R&D for Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 'Sports Industry Innovation Foundation Project'
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyunseok Yoo] Cloupee, a medical big data platform company, announced on the 8th that it has been selected as a joint research and development institution for the "Sports Industry Innovation Infrastructure Establishment (R&D) Project" supported by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism (MCST) and will participate in technology development.
This project forms an R&D consortium consisting of Konyang University, Korea National University of Education, iSoft, and Cloupee to carry out the "Development of Smart Sports Facility Technology for Indoor Sports User Safety."
The national project aims to develop an intelligent real-time safe care system to proactively respond to potential safety accidents and infectious disease spread risks in indoor multi-use facilities where various sports activities take place, thereby preventing secondary accidents and ensuring safety. The goal is to verify practicality through on-site (living lab) application.
In this project, Cloupee signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Kakao Enterprise to establish an access control system based on vaccination status for infectious disease prevention and to build a digitalization foundation for indoor sports facilities.
The indoor sports facility access control system for infectious disease prevention will be linked with KakaoTalk to develop a safety monitoring system for indoor sports facility users, and the service will be provided through Cloupee's platform in the future.
A Cloupee official stated, "Being selected as a joint research and development institution for this national project will greatly help not only our company's technological capabilities but also increase our recognition," adding, "Since the project is supported by government research and development funds, we will do our best to achieve tangible results."

Meanwhile, the "Development of Smart Sports Facility Technology for Indoor Sports User Safety" project is managed as an R&D project by the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation as a specialized institution and will receive a project budget of 2.7 billion KRW from this year until 2022.
