During the process, some resisted arrest, leading to prolonged standoffs with the police waiting outside their homes.
Additionally, some members of Gaseyeon recorded their arrest process on video and posted it on the Gaseyeon channel, resisting until the moment they were apprehended by the police. They are reportedly facing charges including cyber defamation.
According to reports on the 8th, Kim Yong-ho was arrested by the police around 9 a.m. in front of his home. CEO Kim Se-ui was arrested at 7:46 p.m., and lawyer Kang Yong-seok was arrested at 7:59 p.m.
CEO Kim released a video on the Gaseyeon channel showing his arrest situation. The 8-minute and 41-second video vividly captures the tense moments, including the police forcibly opening the door and Kim being moved to a police vehicle.
In the video, CEO Kim protested, saying, "In 21st century South Korea, they broke down the door and raided my home just because I reported suspicions about Cho Kuk and Lee In-young's children." During the forced arrest, he also shouted phrases like "Don't touch my mother."
Around the same time, lawyer Kang also had a prolonged standoff with the police before eventually being arrested. It is known that the police issued over 10 summons requests for investigation to them, but they did not comply, leading to the issuance of arrest warrants.
They are reportedly being sued for defamation for raising allegations related to the families of former Minister of Justice Cho Kuk and Minister of Unification Lee In-young.
